I Took a Photo of My Dog

Last Friday I was in a school concert. I played a farmer's son. The story was about a village. The people of the village lived happily. A farmer and his wife lived in that village. They had four sons. The farmer was very sad because his sons were lazy. The farmer said 'oh what, oh what will happen to my children children they are sooo lazy'

The farmer told his sons he was going to visit a relative. He told them there was a treasure lying in the field, you have to go and search for it. Then he said 'bye-bye' and went. Then the sons wanted to find the treasure quickly so they dug the field but they didn't find any treasure. Then they ate lunch. Then they put water everywhere and plants grew. Then the farmer and his wife came back and the children were happy to see their father and mother and they did a big dance. Over.

I took a photo of our dog Jolie.

What I Learned Today: All About Houses

Today we learned about houses. The first bit of the house is the roof. There are many different types of roofs. Some are made of bricks. Some are made of grass. Some are made of wood. The roof shields us from rain and snow and if the sun is too hot you can stay inside.

The second bit of the house is the wall. Some walls are made out of bricks. Some walls are made out of stone. Some walls are made out of wood. If you didn't have a wall the roof might fall on your head and also, if you didn't have a wall you couldn't have doors or windows. No one would be able to come in and you couldn't look out the window.

The windows help you to breathe and see if your friends are playing. If you didn't have a door then no one could come in your house and you couldn't go out. On the door you have to have a hole so you can see. If you are alone and your mummy and daddy are out, if any stranger comes, and you look out the hole, if you don't know them you mustn't open the door. If it's your friend you can open it.

All About Sharks

Today I wrote a story:

One day there was a boy. He liked a dog. The dog liked the boy a lot, so that boy and his dog went across the road and across the river and back home again. Then they ate up their lunch and they went to sleep. When they woke up they saw their daddy and their mummy so they were happy. The end.

What I Learned Today: All About Sharks

Today at school we learned about sharks. We learned about the dangerous sharks and the good sharks. The dangerous sharks, if you go near them, will eat you. If you go near a good shark, or touch it, it won't eat you. The dangerous sharks are called Great White Sharks and the good sharks are called Good Sharks. They all live under the sea. But only in places where there's lots of fish so they can eat them.

Adam Made A Rocket

Today I woke up in the morning and I played with daddy for a little while, then we ate breakfast. Then we played with blocks. Adam made a big house and I was helping him build the house. It became very big.

When I came home from school I ate my lunch and went to play in my room. Adam built a house from blocks again. I told Adam I wanted to make a big house house again, so we did. Then Adam broke the big house so we made something else. Adam made a rocket and I made a face in a frame. We showed it to mummy.

Downstairs I played on the slide and swing. I met two friends there, Rianna and Mihika. We played for a long time. We went on the grass and we played hide and seek and catching. Mihika brought two pitchkaris (water pistols) and she gave one to Adam. Rianna made up a game. Someone had to say something and the other one had to listen. It was a good game.

What I Learned Today: How Mountains Are Made

Some mountains come from volcanoes. The lava goes on top then comes down and makes a mountain. The second way is the rocks, when they get pushed together, come up to make mountains. The third way is if the rock breaks some of them go on top of each other.

Today We Played Holi

Last night we went to see a Holi bonfire. We watched the bonfire. They lighted it with matches. One aunty gave us sweet chapattis. They were nice.

Today we played Holi downstairs. We shot all the people with water guns and colour. We played with Rianna and Mihika. I had a big fat water gun. There were lots and lots of children. Adam helped me shoot all the people with water.

Some people were throwing water balloons, some were putting coloured powder on me. Daddy just sat there and 'badabadabada' (talked). We saw people with black paint, they were putting it on everyone. We didn't go near them.

Then I went and had a bath.

In the evening we downstairs again and played frisbee and we played catching. Adam made up a game of hiding a ball, and a silly game of throwing a ball in a shoe. Then daddy showed us some magic. He put a paper in front of a magnifying glass and the paper got burnt. Then Jolie came down with mummy. Mummy let Jolie off the leash and she ran and Adam was chasing her everywhere.

What I Learned Today: How Birds Fly

Their bones are empty and they have wings. They flap their wings many times and they start flying. The air makes them fly. They are made for flying.

Tonight I'm Going to See a Big Fire

Yesterday morning I woke up and Adam and I went to my friend Rianna's house to play. We played lots of games. Adam was playing with lots of girl's toys like Barbies and I asked him 'why are you playing with girl toys?' and he said 'I like to play with girl toys because I like the Barbie's dress.' I played with the kitchen sets and all the games, boys and girls games.

Then we ate lunch. We ate dal rice and chappati. When we were finished we played for a little while more then Jaya came and we went home. When we got home we watched Star Wars. My favourite is the small robot because he's funny.

This morning we went to see the 'Frog Prince' movie. I liked it. After that we picked up Vaugn from his house and then we went to eat lunch. Then we played in the ball place (soft play gym). Tonight I'm going to see a big fire for Holi. Teacher said they light fires for Holi because...I forget.
Adam isn't coming because he's too tired and he wants to go to bed.

What I Learned Today: How The Moon Shines

Normally the moon is just a big round grey ball. How it shines is, the Sun shines on top of the moon, like if you get a ball and shine a torch on top of it, like that. The moon looks like it's shining but the light is coming from the Sun.
